1967年至1971年間 ，场球曼城取得了輝煌的衣队成就 ，他們有聯賽冠軍、徽移足總杯冠軍 、至正中栗聯賽杯冠軍和歐洲優勝者杯冠軍等榮譽入賬，色封是曼城俱樂部曆史上春秋鼎盛的年代。
與昔日的发布經典設計相呼應，曼聯的新赛新賽季主場球衣引用了部分當年經典設計，除了依然是季主天藍色為主外 ，隊徽被安排在了胸口正中的场球位置，以及領口與袖口處添加了栗色封邊。衣队
科林-貝爾是俱樂部的傳奇人物 ，他在2021年1月不幸去世 ，在曼城發布了新球衣後 ，他的家人第一時間向俱樂部表示感謝，並稱新球衣“真正抓住了曼城作為一個俱樂部的曆史和團結 ，希望球迷喜歡它 ，並能永遠記住那些偉大的時刻 。”
