亞足聯從2021年開始 ，第位在亞冠席位分配方麵改為一年一定 ，年亚即2021年確定2023年席位 、2022年底將確定2024年席位 。目前中超排名日本 、韓國、中國香港 、馬來西亞 、越南、泰國之後 ，排位東亞第七，亞洲第16；2024年 ，中超征戰亞冠聯賽的席位將隻有一個，而且還不得不去參加亞足聯二級俱樂部賽事亞足聯杯 。
