在積分榜上 ，智利巴西仍然高居第一 ，生机但是南美此前的9連勝被終結 ，目前9勝1平積28分不敗領跑 。区积阿根廷則憑借本輪3-0大勝老派勁旅烏拉圭 ，分榜6勝4平同為不敗 ，巴阿不败22分居第二 ，绝尘甩開了目前暫列第三的落魄厄瓜多爾6分 ，值得一提的智利是 ，巴西和阿根廷還少賽了一場 ，兩隊直接對話此前被延期 。
烏拉圭本輪雖然大敗 ，但他們的平分對手厄瓜多爾同樣1-2不敵委內瑞拉輸球 ，導致兩隊目前仍是平分 。
智利本輪雖然贏球 ，仍在南美區位列倒數第三 ，僅領先玻利維亞與委內瑞拉，但他們與排名第六的巴拉圭也隻差2分 ，如果能夠就此奮起直追，仍有出線希望 。
