北京時間10月11日 ，南美世預賽南美賽區再戰罷一輪 ，区积幾場焦點戰役中，分榜巴西0-0戰平哥倫比亞 ，巴阿不败阿根廷3-0大勝烏拉圭 ，绝尘處境不利的落魄智利則是2-0戰勝巴拉圭 。
在積分榜上 ，智利巴西仍然高居第一，生机但是南美此前的9連勝被終結，目前9勝1平積28分不敗領跑 。区积阿根廷則憑借本輪3-0大勝老派勁旅烏拉圭 ，分榜6勝4平同為不敗，巴阿不败22分居第二 ，绝尘甩開了目前暫列第三的落魄厄瓜多爾6分，值得一提的智利是 ，巴西和阿根廷還少賽了一場 ，兩隊直接對話此前被延期 。
烏拉圭本輪雖然大敗 ，但他們的平分對手厄瓜多爾同樣1-2不敵委內瑞拉輸球 ，導致兩隊目前仍是平分 。
智利本輪雖然贏球 ，仍在南美區位列倒數第三 ，僅領先玻利維亞與委內瑞拉 ，但他們與排名第六的巴拉圭也隻差2分 ，如果能夠就此奮起直追 ，仍有出線希望 。
北京時間10月15日，本周五 ，阿根廷將對戰秘魯 ，而巴西則與烏拉圭直接對話 。
