範加爾此前在一檔節目中透露了自己的帅已时代病情：“他們並不知道 ，他們隻會看到我臉上的定人紅暈 ，並且心想 ：這是选郁個多麽健康的人啊 。然而事實並非如此。”
“我認為我不能這樣告訴我的同事們 ，因為這可能會影響到他們的選擇和決定 ，所以我認為他們並不應該知道 。你不會死於前列腺癌 ，至少在90%的情況下不會 。”
“通常會是其他潛在的並發症殺死你。但是我有一個非常好鬥的外在形象 ，事實上我已經接受了25次化療了。”
“我確實受到了來自於醫院方麵的照顧，他們允許我從後門進入 ，馬上被推進另一個房間等等 ，我受到了極好的待遇 。”
被媒體廣泛報道，即將接手荷蘭的羅納德-科曼 ，此前曾在2018-2020年期間執教過荷蘭隊 ，然後他選擇從荷蘭隊離開 ，接掌了巴薩，直至離開後現任主帥哈維接手 。科曼與荷蘭隊的眾多球員關係都非常的好 ，他帶領他們取得了相當不俗的成績，但他與荷蘭足協之間是否有嫌隙卻很難說 ，當年畢竟是他一心想要提前離開 。
