此前 ，曝张據德國轉會市場中國區管理員朱藝確認 ，琳芃效力於廣州隊的加盟及转國腳張琳芃將加盟上海海港隊 。2011年 ，海港会费張琳芃從上海海港隊的不涉前身上海東亞轉會廣州恒大 ，11年間 ，广州為廣州隊出場各類比賽328場 ，队离队达打進18球。曝张其中中超聯賽223場15球 ，亞冠聯賽73場 。
上海海港隊此前有意引進國足的後防組合蔣光太和張琳芃 ，畢竟在目前的中超大環境下 ，能夠負擔兩人薪資且運營情況比較穩定的也隻有山東和上海海港兩家俱樂部，相比之前 ，擁有多名東亞隊友的海港隊顯然更有吸引力 ，此次轉會 ，也算是張琳芃的葉落歸根，而蔣光太目前仍舊沒有敲定下家 。
據東方體育日報報道稱，張琳芃的加盟未涉及轉會費，盡管資料顯示他與廣州隊尚有一年合同在身 ，不過作為功臣球員 ，張琳芃在離隊一事上與廣州隊達成了一致 。（編輯 劉水土）
