2021-22賽季歐冠小組賽首輪 ，阿克曼城6-3完勝萊比錫。父亲分钟本場比賽，欧冠曼城後衛阿克首發出場，破门並為球隊首開紀錄 。后去賽後，世粒阿克在個人社交媒體上發文悼念剛去世不久的进球父親 。
阿克表示 ，阿克在比賽的父亲分钟時候 ，自己的欧冠父親去世了 。為此 ，破门阿克寫道 ：“這粒進球是后去獻給你的 ，爸爸 。世粒”
在此前的进球世預賽荷蘭對陣土耳其的比賽中 ，阿克退出了荷蘭隊的阿克大名單 ，據悉是因為他的父親當時病危。阿克在INS上寫道 ：“ 過去的幾周是我人生中最艱難的時刻 ，我的父親病情危急 ，但是已經沒有治療的希望了 。我很幸運能擁有我的未婚妻 ，家人和朋友們的支持 。昨天 ，在經曆了一段艱難的時期後，我打進了我在歐冠聯賽中的第一個進球 ，而就在幾分鍾後 ，我的父親在我母親和兄弟的陪伴下安詳地離開了這個世界 。”
“也許這就是命中注定的 ，看我踢球總能讓他感到驕傲和快樂。我知道你永遠在我身邊 ，永遠在我心裏，這粒進球是獻給你（爸爸）的 。”
該場比賽是阿克本賽季的第二次為曼城首發出戰 ，在本賽季英超首輪曼城0-1輸給熱刺的比賽中 ，阿克也獲得了首發的機會 。
