It's not everyday we found ourselves in a workplace situation that doubles as a full blown ethical conflict. 。
But for high fashion model and Australian export, Ruby Jean Wilson, it's actually pretty common. The vegan and defender of animal rights was compelled to make a powerful statement on Facebook, slamming the fur industry, after she walked off the set of a photo shoot because it featured fur.。

Be professional and go through with the work? Or a leave for the sake of her morals? Or a leave for the sake of her morals?
She decided to leave, instead appealing to the public on Facebook, asking them to "think about what they choose do support and to realise that if we don't stand up and say no... things won't change."。

Wilson's followers applauded the model for taking such a strong vocal stance on a divisive issue in the industry. 。

The fur has been back in the spotlight since luxury brand Fendi embraced an all-fur collection at Paris Fashion Week 2015. A move that even brand executives declined to comment on, perhaps wary of the controversy it would cause. 。
Calling on powerhouse labels to take a lead on industry and cultural change alike, Wilson "We have to decide what's not cool anymore ... As creatives we need to start saying no to things like fur."。
