Apple has long been known for crafting the diverse array of gadgets that we use watch our favorite shows, movies, and documentaries. Now, the tech company is crafting the all-around entertainment experience by rolling out a host of original content for its own streaming service, Apple TV+, launching November 1.
Apple TV+'s lineup, at least that which has been announced so far, looks fantastic. From true to life dramas to historically minded miniseries and a hearty dose of kids and family programming, it looks like it'll have something for everyone. Did we really expect anything less?
Here are all the Apple TV+ trailers that have been released so far.
The Morning Show, premieres November 1
Jennifer Aniston makes her return to TV on The Morning Show, alongside Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carell, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Billy Crudup, and Mark Duplass. This fictional drama series follows two esteemed morning news co-anchors, played by Aniston and Carell, after Carell's Mitch Kessler is fired due to allegations of sexual harassment. A younger reporter, played by Reese Witherspoon, then replaces Kessler, and Aniston's character, Alex, must reckon with ageism and sexism in the news media landscape. The Morning Show examines the fate of the media and entertainment industry in the post-#MeToo era, and includes all the behind-the-scenes drama inherent in the cutthroat world of morning news.
For All Mankind, premieres November 1
In a universe in which Russia is the first country to put a man on the moon, sci-fi miniseries For All Mankind imagines a continuation of the space race that centers around NASA's attempt to send a fleet of female astronauts to the moon. The miniseries stars Joel Kinnamen, Shantel VanSanten (One Tree Hill), Michael Dorman, Sarah Jones, and Jodi Balfour.
See, premieres November 1
In See, Jason Mamoa is a warrior and father named Baba Voss in a world where humans, as a whole, are blind. When Voss' twins are miraculously born with the long-gone power of sight, their abilities cause tribal unrest. Sylvia Hoeks, Alfre Woodard, and Hera Hilmar also star in this sci-fi drama series.
Dickinson, premieres November 1
Hailee Steinfeld is Emily Dickinson, Jane Krakowski plays her mother, and John Mulaney is Henry David Thoreau. Dickinson follows (a version of) the life and times of the late, great poet in the mid-1800s. The comedy series is not historically accurate, but it's got an original song from sometimes pop star Steinfeld!
Helpsters, premieres November 1
You guessed right: Helpsters is Apple TV+'s take on a kids show from the minds of Sesame Street. This crew of puppet monsters led by Cody (voiced by Stephanie D'Abruzzo) are expert problem solvers and planners. Martin P. Robinson voices Mr. Primm, Tim Legasse voices Scatter, Ingrid Hansen voices Heart, and Jennifer Barnheart voices Jackie.
Snoopy in Space, premieres November 1
The space race continues, and the Americans are lucky to have a valuable canine on their team. Snoopy (Terry McGurrin) and Woodstock (Rob Tinkler) suit up in matching blue NASA jumpsuits, and viewers can expect an infinite number of "good griefs" from Charlie Brown (Ethan Pugiotto) in Snoopy In Space, a kids cartoon series produced by DHX Media and Peanuts Worldwide. Lucy (Isabella Leo), Peppermint Patty (Isis Moore), Sally (Hallie Kragten), and Franklin (Christian Dal Dosso) also appear in this intergalactic cartoon based on Charles M. Schulz's characters.
Ghostwriter, premieres November 1
Finishing out the Apple TV+ kids and family slate is Ghostwriter, a series about a haunted book store that houses a ghost who brings fictional characters into the real world. Four local kids (Isaac Arellanes, Amadi Chapata, Hannah Levinson, and Justin Sanchez) join forces to get to the bottom of the haunted happenings. The kids series is a reboot of the '90s cult classic of the same name. We're excited.
The Elephant Queen, premieres November 1
Most of us know that elephants have a pretty sharp memory, but did you know that the animals come close to replicating familial structures reminiscent of humans? The Elephant Queen is a documentary that follows Athena, a matriarch, and her family as they make their way through the African landscape. The documentary is narrated by Chiwetel Ejiofor, and will be released in theaters on October 18. On November 1, it will be available for streaming exclusively on Apple TV+.
Servant, premieres November 28
Spoiler alert: that's not a real baby in those creepy teasers. M. Night Shyamalan's horror series tells the story of a couple (Lauren Ambrose and Toby Kebbell) after they purchase a therapy doll to help them process the loss of their child. Servant also stars Rupert Grint and Nell Tiger Free.
Truth Be Told, premieres December 6
In this drama series, Octavia Spencer stars as a journalist turned true crime podcast host who examines the wrongful imprisonment of a man her editorial work indicted. Truth Be Told also stars Aaron Paul (fresh off the release of El Camino), alongside Castle Rock's Lizzy Kaplan, Elizabeth Perkins, Michael Beach, and Tracie Thoms. Truth Be Told is based on the 2017 novel Are You Sleeping by Kathleen Barber.
This post will be updated with more trailers as they become available.
