搜狐體育消息，徐根北京時間10月2日，宝武近日，国脚国足徐根寶在接受采訪時談到了中國足球的亚洲問題。

對於國足在12強賽上的强队失利，徐根寶表示：“世預賽12強賽踢完後，差距我和武磊、明显張琳芃、徐根顏駿淩幾個國腳都有交流，宝武他們給我的国脚国足反饋信息是，感覺國足和亞洲強隊的亚洲差距明顯在加大。中國足球人要正視現實，强队擺正位置，差距始終心懷危機感，明显並要有重振中國足球的徐根鬥誌。”

對於中國的本土教練，徐根寶說道：“你不能說本土教練不行，這麽多外籍教練也沒帶出去；你也不能說領導不重視，事實是非常關心重視；你也不能怪球員，球員可能也十分努力了，但努力到什麽程度？這可以探討。”
