目前莫伊塞斯的巴媒年薪為450 萬歐 ，正是莫伊影響續約談判的一個重要因素 。再加上中超限薪令規定不能超過 300 萬歐 ，泰山托他的合同留隊前景確實撲朔迷離 。據《體壇周報》的期桑其开報道 ，目前莫伊塞斯與俱樂部的出报合同 ，是巴媒在今年7月21日到期 。迄今 ，莫伊未有確切消息證實他將何時歸隊 ，泰山托反倒是有幾家巴甲球會開始對其虎視眈眈 ，甚至有傳聞言之鑿鑿稱 。
2021賽季期間 ，山東泰山榮膺中超 、足協杯賽雙冠王 。目前球隊外援配置比較豐富 ，具體人員分別是費萊尼 、孫準浩 、賈德鬆 、莫伊塞斯和德爾加多 。今年2月 ，泰山俱樂部將巴西籍外援前鋒萊昂納多租借給了蔚山現代 ，孫準浩也有傳聞將離隊 ，若莫伊塞斯再離隊，球隊急需進行補強 。
此前根據巴西媒體稱 ，葡萄牙超級聯賽聖克拉拉俱樂部將本隊巴西籍前鋒克雷桑以200萬歐元的價格出售給中超聯賽山東泰山俱樂部 ，雙方將簽訂一份為期3年的合同 。據了解 ，泰山引進克雷桑正是為了彌補高中鋒郭田雨離隊後留下的位置空缺 。一旦最終莫伊塞斯與桑托斯無法談攏，不排除泰山隊還會再多引進一名前場外援 ，也就是說在克雷桑之外，還有新的外援目標得到鎖定 。
