談到為什麽選擇離開韓國來國安踢球時，泪流两倍薑祥佑直言 ，满面自己一直都希望去國外踢球 ，国安而國安方麵很明確地表示了對他的姜祥興趣 ，並且誠意十足 ，佑谢起先他表態不打算來 ，峰下但由於國安引進他的课后意誌十分堅定 ，於是泪流两倍他最終還是加盟了國安 。
當被問及在中國踢球的满面收入情況時 ，薑祥佑表示 ，国安自己目前的姜祥工資是在浦項時的兩倍多 ，但具體數額他無法透露 。薑祥佑承認 ，在中國和西亞踢球的待遇的確要比韓國國內好。另外 ，薑祥佑還談到了他最愛吃的中國食物 ，烤鴨 、東坡肉和火鍋 。
聊到主帥謝峰辭職一事 ，薑祥佑說道 ：“在我看來 ，他的辭職我負有一定的責任 ，因為他引進了我 ，但是我卻沒有為球隊做出太多貢獻 。那天早上 ，我去謝指導的房間道歉 ，一打開門看到主教練的臉 ，我就淚流滿麵了。”
