Power to the people.
In the almost two weeks since the killing of George Floyd, who died in police custody on May 25, people all around the world have stepped up to make their voices heard. The message: this shit has to stop.
Black Americans risk their lives just waking up every day because of a U.S. system that is deeply rooted in its racist history. So when Floyd, who died when a Minneapolis police officer kneeled on his neck for almost nine minutes while three other officers stood by and, at times, helped, the anger that poured forth carried the weight of history with it.
Protests have sprung up all around the world in the almost two weeks since Floyd was killed. Even in the midst of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, people of all races and nationalities are gathering to make their voices heard. Many of them are wearing masks. All of them want to live in a better world.
The protests have been ongoing pretty much every day since May 26. While much of the early violence has abated, at least on the protester side of things, the numbers have only grown. In fact, the scale of these protests seemed to reach a new high on Saturday as photos and video from social media and beyond showed staggeringly massive crowds gathering in major cities all around the world.

This is a moment in history when people of conscience need to step up and join the fray. If you want a better and more equal world, do your part now to make it a reality.
Just like these wonderful people who spent their Saturday marching through the streets of major cities.
