北京時間1月26日，沃特为新沃特福德官方宣布74歲的福德老帥霍奇森出任主教練 。根據《衛報》的官方消息稱 ，雙方簽訂了一份有效期至本賽季結束的霍奇短約 。
現年74歲的森成帅签赛季霍奇森 ，執教生涯至今已有45個年頭 。任主1976年7月 ，约至霍奇森在瑞典開啟了執教生涯。沃特为新在45年的福德執教生涯中 ，霍奇森曾先後執教過瑞典隊 、官方阿聯酋隊 、霍奇芬蘭隊、森成帅签赛季英格蘭隊這4支國家隊 ，任主還曾執教過國際米蘭 、约至利物浦 、沃特为新烏迪內斯、布萊克本 、富勒姆 、西布朗維奇 、水晶宮等俱樂部球隊 。
沃特福德官方表示 ：“我們很高興地宣布 ，羅伊-霍奇森將成為新任主教練 。霍奇森和他的助手雷-利文頓將一起加入球隊 ，後者曾在2002-2005年期間執教過沃特福德 。”
據統計 ，霍奇森以74歲的高齡繼續執教，在現役主帥中可以排到第二。排名第一的是基輔迪納摩主帥盧塞斯庫 ，羅馬尼亞人今年已經76歲 。
