If you haven't done so already, Tuesday is your last day to download your Vines. Miss the cutoff and your Vines will not be downloadable, but will still remain viewableon Vine.co (that is until Vine decides to purge them all one day).
As laid out last year, Vine's shutting down and Twitter is paring the app down to just its camera. Yes, we know, it's sad, but what can you do? Vine's biggest stars have moved on to Snapchat and YouTube.
SEE ALSO:Twitter has a new plan for VineHowever, not all is lost. There are two ways to download your Vines: through the website using a computer or the mobile app.
To download your Vines from a computer:
Log into your account.
Click on the "Download Your Vines" button in the upper right.
Wait for the "Download Archive" button to appear in the "Download your Vines" section.
Click the "Download Archive" button and open the zip file to see all your saved Vines! (You'll also receive an email with a link to download your archive within 72 hours if you can't be bothered to wait.)
To download your Vines from the app:
Log into your account.
Tap on your profile.
Tap "Save Videos" button next to the "Settings" button.
Tap either "Save to photo library" (iOS) / "Save to Gallery" (Android) or "Email me a download link."
Select the individual Vines you want to save or tap "Select all" to download them all.
Congrats! All your Vines should be saved in your photos/gallery app.
Mashabletried both methods and found a few differences.
For some reason, the Vine app for iOS only downloaded 200 of my 420 Vines (not counting Re-Vines). Upon further inspection, it appears iOS only selects the 200 most recent Vines when you tap "Select all." You'll have to select the remaining Vines manually.
I had no such problem using the Vine app for Android or the website; both saved all 420 of my Vines (not including Re-Vines) perfectly. And if you go the website route, you also get the thumbnail images for each Vine and a "index.html" file of your profile with your original captions, like so:

UPDATE: Jan. 17, 2017, 8:56 p.m. EST Clarified Vines will still be viewable on Vine.co after Jan. 17, but not downloadable.
