據悉 ，如果C羅在今夏留隊 ，那麽葡萄牙前鋒麵臨的降薪將是最大的 ，他的周薪將從38.5萬英鎊降至28.8萬英鎊 ，這一數字是C羅近些年來的最低值 。而在此之前 ，C羅在尤文效力時的周薪為50萬英鎊 。
不過《The Athletic》同時指出 ，曼聯球員可以通過與俱樂部溝通 ，來試圖降低降薪的比例 。而《每日郵報》則表示 ，如果下賽季曼聯能夠獲得歐冠資格 ，那麽球員的薪水也將相應地回調 。
