下周三 ，欧冠歐足聯執行委員會將會開會 。改制據The 将获Athletic報道稱 ，屆時歐冠改製方案將會獲得審批通過 。批年與此同時，扩军歐足聯執行委員會還會商議改製後的至队財務分配方案 。
歐冠改製 ，取消將會從2024年開始。小组目前歐冠共有32隊參加正賽，欧冠2024年起歐冠將會擴軍到36隊。改制歐冠同時將會改革賽製 ，将获在新賽製下將取消小組賽 ，批年而是扩军采用“瑞士製”聯賽 。瑞士製聯賽是至队棋類運動中非常常見的賽製，概括而言就是取消同等水平的球隊交鋒 。在新賽製下 ，每支球隊至少單賽季會踢10場歐冠 。
按照種子隊次序排序 ，歐冠36隊將會被分為1號種子到第36號種子 。在瑞士製聯賽結束後，排名前8的球隊直接晉級淘汰賽 。
相比目前賽製 ，歐冠改製後將多出4支參賽球隊。這4個名額如何分配 ？首先 ，會有一個名額分配給歐足聯排名第五的聯賽的第四名 ，目前法甲在歐足聯聯賽排行榜上排名第五 。另外三個名額 ，歐足聯則會通過近5個賽季球隊歐戰表現來進行分配 。這有利於那些近年來歐戰表現出色 ，但在本國聯賽中沒能拿到歐冠名額的球隊。
