, Carter entered the game as a pinch runner in the fourth inning when the team was losing to Buffalo 2-0. Despite the face plant, Carter safely made it to second base with her dignity and a smile. 。

Announcers said that the freshman had suffered the softball fail because the dirt on the field was wet. Adding insult to muddy injury, Carter's team ended up losing 3-0.  。
