處境微妙的队淘廣州隊陣容中未見主力隊員的身影 ，出現在賽場上的汰人球員也較少 ，比賽中沒有充足的改打人員可以替換；比賽最後時刻甚至換上了一名守門員 ，而首發的前锋守門員換了球衣改打前鋒 。這支中超球隊最後一球負於中乙青島青春島，足协州队足守被淘汰出局；後者則成為當天出賽球隊中唯一一支晉級的杯广被中低級別球隊 。
其他七場比賽中 ，乙球中超球隊均戰勝各自對手晉級16強，队淘不過比賽過程並不相同 。汰人大部分中超球隊以較明顯優勢獲勝 ，改打深圳隊7:0戰勝陝西俑士超越 ，前锋天津津門虎3:0戰勝北京北體大 ，足协州队足守重慶兩江競技2:0戰勝武漢三鎮 ，長春亞泰4:0戰勝浙江隊 ，河南嵩山龍門5:1戰勝梅縣球鄉；兩支球隊僅以一球小勝 ，山東泰山1:0小勝南通支雲，大連人2:1戰勝U20國家隊 。
本輪足協杯賽剩餘的八場比賽將在14日進行 。
