搜狐體育消息 ，广州北京時間12月9日，队管队员定據《足球報》消息 ，理层在廣州隊官宣鄭智出任球隊執行主教練兼隊員的召集時刻 ，俱樂部管理層出麵召集全體隊員開了一個會 ，欠薪情况在這個會議中 ，发不发生球隊管理層表示 ，退赛欠薪一定會發給球員 ，广州希望球員可以完成本賽季的队管队员定比賽任務 ，為廣州隊留住中超的理层參賽資格 。
在這個會上 ，召集球隊管理層強調了幾項重要內容：
第一 、欠薪情况承諾球隊的发不发生欠薪將來一定會發放給隊員 ，並且還要與隊員們簽一個補充協議；
第二 、退赛希望全隊排除萬難、广州刻苦訓練、奮力拚搏 ，全力以赴完成本賽季的比賽任務 ，為廣州隊留住中超的資格 ，保住廣州足球八冠王的火苗明年繼續征戰中超
第三 ，希望通過大家的共同努力 ，力保不再發生類似2020賽季冠軍球隊退賽的情況 。
