北京時間9月23日淩晨 ，官方管程英冠球隊德比郡隊在官網宣布 ，德比球隊在破產後正式進入托管程序 。郡破积分按照EFL規則，产进除德比郡將被扣除12個英冠聯賽積分 。入托之前，被扣德比郡主帥魯尼明確表示不會離開球隊 。官方管程
德比郡隊目前在英冠聯賽前8輪比賽獲得10個積分 ，德比在英冠位居13位 。郡破积分但是产进除就在幾天前 ，德比郡隊卻宣布 ，入托球隊因為各種原因資不抵債 ，被扣決定破產 。官方管程隨後英國媒體稱 ，德比德比郡現有債務超過5000萬英鎊 ，郡破积分包括對一家美國私募股權公司約2000萬鎊的擔保債務和將近3000萬鎊的稅單 。這意味著任何接手德比郡的老板都必須先付清這部分債務 ，才能對俱樂部進行投資 。
就在北京時間23日淩晨，德比郡宣布 ，球隊在破產後正式進入托管程序 。按照規則 ，德比郡將被扣除12個英冠聯賽積分 。因此德比郡隊目前在8輪比賽後以-2個積分位居倒數第一 。
球隊破產，球員薪水發放肯定會受到影響 ，而球隊的積分被扣除10分後，德比郡的排名位居倒數第一 ，球隊本賽季保級肯定會非常困難 。但是魯尼在接受采訪時卻明確表示不會離開 ：“我喜歡和他們一起工作 。我也非常喜愛這裏的工作人員 ，我很在意他們 。我的工作就是從足球層麵重新把大家團結起來 ，將榮耀和尊嚴帶回這家俱樂部 。”
