賈岩峰表示 ：“這個圈子的太弱自我驅動力相對來說比較弱，以及自尊感 ，赋都相對來說低自尊。浪费中國足球這個圈子 ，媒体無論你有多高的人中天賦他都舍得浪費 ，這個圈子沒有形成一個很好的国足自我驅動，向上的自驱內驅力 ，這種內驅力。动力多高的天”
“我認為 ，太弱我們在青訓方麵是赋都特別差的 ，教練沒有教球員對自己有要求 ，有自我驅動力 。隻要養成終身學習的性格 ，就會慢慢往上走 。為什麽足球這項運動成才特別難 ，尤其到了十八九歲一旦沉迷遊戲 、談戀愛了，對自我約束就不強了 。不能光說青訓 ，青訓你要有質量。”
“任何一個領域 ，不隻是足球 ，頂尖選手都有極為強大的自驅力和高自尊。中國球員普遍缺少這兩種素質，更多的是一種抱怨被不理解而不是奮發拿出更好的自己去證明這一點 。這個跟我們從小的青訓理念有關 ，在教育上太注重知識與技能 ，忽略思想和思維模式的提升。”
