YouTube is making it even easier for people to livestream from their mobile devices (as if we needed。 another。way to share our lives in real time.) 。
Android Police。reported on Wednesday that YouTube is making livestreaming accessible to more users by doing away with the "1,000 subscriber or more" requirement to utilize the feature. Now, users with a subscriber base of any size can use the livestreaming feature. 。
SEE ALSO:YouTube's new flat website redesign is here, and you'll never wanna go back。YouTube originally had a requirement of 10,000 subscribers for users to go live on a tablet or mobile device, which was pretty demanding for the ordinary user. Then, back in April, the platform relaxed the requirement to 1,000 to better cater to anyone who wasn't a major brand or viral vlogger with a massive following.。
As the platform now stands — without any subscriber requirements — users are permitted to go live with as little as zero subscribers, should they for some reason desire ... but there are a few catches. 。

Not everyone can access the feature, and those users who can will have to have verified channel sand no livestream restrictions within the last 90 days.。
Thanks for signing up! 。 "We've been experimenting and expanding mobile live streaming for almost a year now. However, it is still only available to a relatively small subset of users," a YouTube spokesperson told 。
Mashable.。
Those who have the feature available to them can simply head to the YouTube app and click on the red livestream icon in the bottom right corner. This will give you the option to either record normal video that can be saved or edited, or "Go Live" by streaming directly from the app.。
While livestreaming is an exciting step for YouTube users who want to reach their audience in real time, the platform is just now catching up to popular options like Twitter's Periscope or Facebook Live, which have been around for years. However, YouTube's dedication to on-site video is clearly what the platform specializes in, so the demand for livestreaming was likely not as urgent.。
Good luck, and happy livestreaming.。 Good luck, and happy livestreaming. 。
UPDATE: May 18, 2017, 4:30 p.m. UTC。
A previous version of this article stated YouTube livestreaming is now available to all users, which is not the case. The article was updated with a statement from YouTube confirming the feature is currently only available to a relatively small number of users. 。
