The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story continued its getaway with all of Hollywood's brightest accolades on Sunday night, taking home the Golden Globe for Best Miniseries.
"The trial of O.J. Simpson turned tragedy into entertainment, reminding us that American justice is anything but blind when race, gender and celebrity are involved," said executive producer Nina Jacobson when accepting the award. "When working on the show, we had no idea how painfully relevant those themes would be in 2016."
People v. O.J.was the most nominated TV series at this year's ceremony, up for five awards including Sarah Paulson for Best Actress in a Miniseries (she won!), Courtney B. Vance for Best Actor, and Sterling K. Brown and John Travolta for Best Supporting Actor.
The FX miniseries recently scored nine Emmys and four Critics' Choice Awards, including Best Limited Series and awards for Paulson, Vance and Brown.
