該片由路雲飛擔任導演,樊大明,張國英擔任編劇,演員陳育臣,劉禹欣,於思楚,李宜坤主演。
影片融合了變異怪獸 、槍戰、视频動作 、频道探險、播出熱血等多種備受觀眾喜愛的电影档年电影独元素,影片主要講述了正在籌備婚禮的安保團隊隊長郭遠超和隊員曹心怡,為了營救失蹤的隊友皮特,進入叢林,卻不料遭遇神秘物種的襲擊,豔麗危險的變異植物 、神出鬼沒的铁血腾讯嗜血藤蔓 、身上開花的护卫猙獰巨獸等,讓整個隊伍險象環生,人怪大戰連番上演,但隨著隊伍的深入,一場驚天陰謀逐漸浮出水麵,重重怪異背後原來另有玄機!
為了呈現神秘的影調氛圍,攝製組特意選擇在西雙版納原始叢林實景拍攝,而片中奇特絢麗的溶洞實景景觀,更是在影視作品中少見 。為此,异种入工作人員每天必須背著沉重的拍攝設備提前進入拍攝地,接線通電,調試設備等,來回奔波,辛苦異常 。同時,侵定熱帶雨林中的毒物蚊蟲,山洞內濕滑陰冷的環境,令全組人員備受考驗,但劇組全員團結一致,在緊張的拍攝周期內,依舊克服重重困難出色地完成了拍攝任務 。
