申花此次前往大連必須嚴格遵守閉環轉運的往大往要求 ，盡可能避免與外界的连海接觸 ，所以俱樂部申請了從上海到大連的曝申航線，球隊將在5月7日搭乘包機前往大連 。2020年年底 ，申花與海港曾一同包機從上海飛赴卡塔爾多哈出戰亞冠聯賽 ，不過此次兩隊並不會搭乘同一架包機前往大連。抵達大連之後 ，申花會在大連人的基地進行隔離。
