How many cameras does a smartphone need these days? If you ask Vivo, the number is six. The company's new V17 Pro smartphone has a quad rear camera and a dual selfie pop-up camera, the first of its kind.
The megapixel counts are off the charts. The rear camera has a 48-megapixel main camera, coupled with a 13-megapixel telephoto sensor capable of 2x optical zoom, an 8-megapixel wide sensor and a 2-megapixel depth camera.
On the front, the 32-megapixel main camera is coupled with an 8-megapixel wide camera which should make those group selfie shots more manageable. Due to the dual front cameras, the pop-up module is unusually wide, but is completely invisible when the front cameras are not in use.
Credit: VivoSince the selfie cameras are neatly tucked away in that pop-up module, the phone's front is basically all screen. It's a 6.44-inch, Super AMOLED display with just a touch of chin on the bottom, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Other specs of note include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and a 4,100mAh battery.
On the software side, the V17 Pro's highlights include a dedicated Game Mode, coupled with a quirky feature called Voice Changer, allowing gamers to change their voice while gaming. The camera software has numerous beautifying features for both the front and rear cameras, a dedicated Night Selfie mode, a macro shooting mode, and various AI enhancements.
The Vivo V17 Pro will be available in Crystal Black and Crystal Sky colors. Price and availability will be announced at a later date.
