“這是穆帅我教練生涯第一次單場丟掉6球 ，我們遭遇了曆史性的球队全慘敗 。對我而言，遭遇责任如果俱樂部要我給一個說法應該怎麽辦 ？历史我已經在球隊內部做出了解釋 ，但我不會對外說球隊存在的失败输球問題 。輸球的穆帅責任在我 ，是球队全我做出的輪換調整 ，我們輸給了一個高水平的遭遇责任球隊 ，博德閃耀比羅馬發揮的历史更好 。”
隨後穆裏尼奧表示 ：“如果我能一直用主力陣容 ，失败输球我會用的 ，但這存在風險，因為我們兩組球員的實力存在差距 ，我們有13名球員具備踢主力的水準 ，其他球員水平高低不同 。輪休是為了讓球員休息的更好 。我知道羅馬有自己的局限性 ，我期待未來會有更好的表現 。當然我作為教練 ，上場球員和陣容都是我的戰術選擇 ，所以我要負責 。”
談到慘敗對於球員影響 ，穆帥說 ：“每一次失敗都會讓人傷心，我和球員交流過了 ，大家都很坦誠 ，我可以和他們敞開心扉 ，但是對於外界不能太坦誠 。我們的主力陣容發揮的很好 ，本賽季應該獲得更多的積分，我們擺正心態 ，準備周日的比賽。”
