人才斷檔不管放在哪個行業都是档黑一個災難性，中國足球更是历史一個首當其衝的重災區 ，從甲A成立 ，教育到2003奶奶改名中超，足球這段時間的不容改革 ，就直接造成了1990年到2000年人才的韩乔忽视斷檔，印象最深的生中事 ，就是国足2000年國安各足球學校聯合招生 ，很多人樂觀的球人認為會有成千上萬的學生前來報名 ，沒想到最後隻來了300多人，才断其中會踢的也就100來人 。
說真的 ，如果不是2000年徐根寶建立正規的青訓基地，這個斷檔期還會無限期拉長 。被大家津津樂道的85屆和05屆的國青隊 ，其中像範誌毅 、高洪波 、武磊 、張琳芃 、顏駿淩等等 ，都是出自徐根寶麾下 。
還有最近大火的00後國腳朱辰傑 ，也是徐根寶培養的 。一味機械的訓練 ，不會造就足球運動員 ，更不會讓極具天賦的足球運動員成為一代傳奇 。所以教育與足球不容忽視 ，專業成熟的技戰術可以向外學習 ，但從業餘到職業的足球體係，整體框架的搭建 ，必須由我們來親自完成。（編輯 劉水土）
