此前的足像6場12強賽小組賽，中國隊1勝2平3負 ，惹麻拿到5分 ，也努與澳大利亞隊的李霄力比賽之後，中國隊主教練李鐵32分鍾的鹏中激情發言 ，加上之後社交媒體發布小廣告，国男引發輿論海嘯 ，足像李鐵也隨之黯然下課 。惹麻李霄鵬接手之後 ，也努外界普遍認為 ，李霄力李霄鵬情商比較高 ，鹏中能夠與媒體和球迷處理好關係。国男
對此李霄鵬在接受采訪時也談了自己的看法 ，他呼籲媒體和球迷給予中國男足更多的包容和理解 。“在中國的體育大家庭裏 ，中國男足應該是比較特殊的一支隊伍 ，就像兒子一樣 ，可能不太爭氣 ，有時候還會添點麻煩 ，但所有中國男足的球員和教練還是比較努力 ，想把這個事情做好 ，鞭策，或者是指責 ，這都沒有問題，但希望對現在的中國男足來說 ，還是多一些包容和理解 。”（搜狐體育 裴力）
