在馬競左側角旗這一側 ，冲突从场雙方的上打場上球員 、替補球員 、到场教練組成員全都圍了過來 ，极度場麵一度非常混亂 。而在事件平息之後 ，薩維奇 、費利佩和阿克被出示黃牌 ，費利佩由於兩黃變一紅被罰下場 。
而據《BT Sport》的報道，在衝突中 ，薩維奇還與格拉利什攪和在了一起，薩維奇伸手抓住了格拉利什的頭發 。據悉 ，薩維奇之所以動手 ，是因為格拉利什管他叫“婊子” 。
然而事情還不算完 。在賽後回到球員通道時，馬競和曼城球員再次發生衝突 。先有薩維奇與曼城人員發生口角，後有福薩裏科向拉波爾特丟東西砸他，場麵同樣極度混亂，曼城球員是在重重安保人員和工作人員的阻隔下才回到更衣室的 。
