Samsung's third new pair of wireless earbuds in the past year is also its cheapest.
At its Galaxy Unpacked event on Wednesday, the company officially took the wraps off the Galaxy Buds 2.
Following in the footsteps of the $170 Galaxy Buds Live and the $200 Galaxy Buds Pro, the $150 Galaxy Buds 2 will make a marginally smaller dent in your bank account when they launch on August 27.

For that price, you can expect a new, vaguely egg-shaped look and active noise cancelation (ANC). For perspective, that means Samsung is selling wireless earbuds with ANC for $10 cheaper than Apple's ANC-less AirPods, and a whopping $100 lessthan the AirPods Pro.

The Galaxy Buds 2 are also 15 percent smaller and 20 percent lighter than the Galaxy Buds Plus, which should hopefully make them more comfortable for long listening sessions. Three on-board microphones will assist in voice calls, with machine learning features to filter out background audio.

Last but not least, the Galaxy Buds 2 will come in four colors: graphite, olive, white, and lavender.
These Buds 2 may not be as fashionable as the Buds Live or as fully featured as the Buds Pro, but that $150 price point is tough to argue with. Hopefully things like sound quality and battery life are good enough to justify the purchase when they launch at the end of August.
