但來自《曼徹斯特晚報》的記者理查德-費顯然不買賬 。理查德-費指出 ：“如果曼聯想要在進攻端有不同的選擇 ，那麽在左路的首發上 ，讓馬夏爾的順位在桑喬之前是沒有意義的 。過去的24場比賽 ，馬夏爾總共打入2球 ，全都發生在9-0南安普頓的那場比賽中 ，讓他首發毫無意義 。如果曼聯真的想做出調整 ，為什麽桑喬 、林加德 、範德貝克沒有獲得機會 ？”
