Xiaomi is also working with some Oculus developers to make sure the Oculus Store's most popular content is available in the Mi VR store upon launch.
The two companies have also partnered with Qualcomm to address processing demands on their headsets. Both headsets are powered by the Snapdragon 821 Mobile VR Platform. The Snapdragon 821 was Qualcomm's first chip to support Google's first Daydream platform, which was released in 2016.
