RAC1的奇哈消息稱，巴薩董事會將在三名教練中進行選帥，回归他們分別是执教目前在卡塔爾薩德執教的哈維 、河床主帥加拉多以及巴薩B隊主教練巴爾胡安 ，巴萨目前哈維最接近這一位置 。
2019年，哈維開始執教卡塔爾的阿爾薩德 ，幫助球隊獲得了卡塔爾聯賽冠軍 、聯賽杯冠軍和超級杯冠軍等榮譽 。科貝電台表示 ，要想回歸諾坎普執教 ，哈維必須與巴薩和薩德敲定協議，預計將很快能夠完成 。
