When the MSI Claw was revealed earlier this year at CES 2024, it left us wondering: Could this new handheld gaming console give the Valve Steam Deck a run for its money? As of today, Mar. 11, shoppers can finally order their own MSI Claw at Best Buy and MSI to find out for themselves.

The new MSI Claw is listed for $699.99, which is $50.99 more than the Steam Deck 1TB OLED. While the MSI Claw hasn't had its turn yet in the Mashable lab, there are plenty of reasons why we're speculating big things from the new handheld PC gaming console, one of the foremost being that it's the first AI-powered gaming console to hit the market.
The MSI Claw is powered by an Intel Core Ultra processor, utilizing Intel Xess technology to generate AI algorithms that increase the console's frames per second (FPS). "If this is true, the Claw should play triple-A games seamlessly and efficiently on the MSI handheld gaming PC," writes Mashable's Kimberly Gideon.
The MSI Claw also boasts an ergonomic design, built to fit the contours of your hand and support your grip while you play. MSI claims this ergonomic support "provides an intuitive gaming experience for hands of all sizes."
Other features include a 53Whr battery life and Cooler Boost HyperFlow technology that controls airflow to keep the console cool in your hands. Together, these promise the possibility of keeping you playing more comfortably—and for longer.
MSI Claw orders will ship from Best Buy by Apr. 4. Meanwhile, it appears that orders placed through MSI directly are shipping immediately. Secure your MSI Claw from either outlet today, Mar. 11 to experience the future of handheld gaming for yourself.
