據轉會專家迪馬濟奧的消息 ，皇馬與姆巴佩之間存在著口頭協議 ，而雙方很快就會簽下正式的合同 。據悉 ，皇馬將為姆巴佩開出一份為期5年 ，簽字費達到1億歐元的合同 ，法國前鋒的年收入高達5000萬歐元 。而《馬卡報》則表示 ，皇馬對姆巴佩加盟一事沒有疑問 ，後者的肖像權問題也已經解決 。
值得一的是 ，在法國職業球員工會的頒獎典禮上 ，當姆巴佩走紅毯時 ，有球迷向他扔出了一件皇馬的球衣。
