The delay of AirPods is believed to be one possible reason for pushing back BeatsX. Though it's only a guess, it's possible Apple wasn't able to secure enough W1 wireless chips to meet the demand for AirPods and BeatsX this year.。

BeatsX wireless earphones get up to eight hours of battery life, which is exceptionally long compared to the competition; it's three hours longer than the AirPods.
