武漢足球俱樂部一名高管表示 ：“他的俊闵合同工資都發放了 ，還有部分贏球的发帖獎金沒發 。一方麵是内容大環境下俱樂部多少都有資金壓力 ，其他俱樂部也有類似情況 。实情另一方麵是武汉金額和支付情況還要商榷 ，他跟著國家隊才回國隔離，应欠原想等他歸隊之後解決。薪蒿一直跟他聯係 ，俊闵有一些溝通上的发帖障礙 。”該人士表示，内容球隊榮譽是实情幾代人一起打拚下來的，團結是武汉球隊致勝的重要因素 ，在這種情況下單方麵發聲不太妥當 。
這名人士還表示，看到網絡發文後俱樂部已經在緊急協調各方 ，討論解決方案 。
武漢董事長田旭東表示 ，蒿俊閔發帖內容不是真實情況 ，他本人正在開會解決這件事 。
