我要评论David Bowie's stellar discography is about to have three new gems -- Bowie's final studio recordings will be released on Lazarus Cast Recordingson Oct. 21.
Bowie composed the music and lyrics for Lazarus, a musical that debuted in New York City in late 2015 and ran until Jan. 20, 2016.
The cast, including Michael C. Hall and Cristina Milioti, recorded the album on Jan. 11, the night after Bowie's death.

Bowie's recording of the song "Lazarus," that appeared on his final studio album, Blackstar, released on Jan. 8, will also be featured on the cast recording on a second disk alongside the unreleased material, which was produced by longtime Bowie collaborator Tony Visconti and features the Blackstarband.
According to Visconti, Bowie had planned to make another album before his death just days after Blackstar's release.
"At that late stage, he was planning the follow-up to Blackstar, and I was thrilled. And I thought, and he thought, that he’d have a few months, at least. Obviously, if he’s excited about doing his next album, he must’ve thought he had a few more months," he told Rolling Stone. "So the end must’ve been very rapid. I’m not privy to it. I don’t know exactly, but he must’ve taken ill very quickly after that phone call.”
