在被問到是否會在維拉對陣曼城前與傑拉德聊聊時 ，克洛普說 ：“當然不會 ，傑拉德正在率隊備戰對陣伯恩利的補賽，我沒有理由和他開展任何談話，我們唯一知道的就是維拉當然想贏下比賽 ，僅此而已 。”
