A single mom went above and beyond during a Donuts with Dad event at her son's school in an attempt to make sure the boy didn't feel left out.
After arriving at school to drop off her son Elijah, Yevette Vasquez noticed there were more cars than usual. When asked, Elijah told his mother there was a Donuts with Dad event taking place that day, so she quickly turned the car around and headed home to whip up a quick "disguise."
Vasquez returned to the event donning a fake mustache, Elijah's plaid shirt and a baseball cap. She later shared some photos of the event to Facebook which have since racked up 16,000 likes and 5,000 shares.

Many Facebook users applauded Vasquez's efforts.

"Most of the dads thought it was really cool," Vasquez toldCNN. "They thought it was really supportive and sweet. I did feel the energy of a few men who weren't as comfortable with it though."
And as for Vasquez, her only regret is that she didn't do it sooner.
"I saw that same, sad look on his face, and I didn't want that," she told CNN. "I wish I would have done it sooner."
