哈蘭德被認為將會在今年夏天離隊，天内曼城是曼城其最有可能的目的地之一 ，其他皇馬巴薩乃至巴黎等球隊也有可能會成為他的及哈纪人加盟下家 ，但綜合目前各種情況來看 ，兰德藍月亮是飞赴法国最大熱門，而英超球迷內部已經開始流傳關於“沒有哈蘭德的寻经曼城已經是這個水平 ，有了挪威神鋒之後，天内瓜迪奧拉的曼城球隊可以不用踢英超 ，而被直接授予冠軍了”的及哈纪人加盟梗 。
英媒報道稱 ，兰德曼城已經同意了相關的飞赴法国轉會條款，盡管關於交易的消息仍不是官方的，但這名年僅21歲的天才球員在合同中 有一個約為6800萬鎊的違約金條款 ，但該條款的激活日期是在4月30日前。
也因此 ，根據德國媒體的報道 ，在多特蒙德周末輸給拜仁 ，目送對手奪得十連冠後 ，哈蘭德很快飛去了法國裏維埃拉 。
同樣也是這則報道指明，哈蘭德的這次旅行的時間早在他們輸掉德國國家德比之前就已經定下了 ，所以這很有可能與他的違約金條款高度相關 。
