After more than a yearlong wait, and timeline after timeline after timeline of that wait, Frank Ocean's long-hyped sophomore album is reportedly just a few days away.
According to The New York Times, Boys Don't Cry-- which is the followup to his critically acclaimed, Grammy-winning debut, Channel Orange-- will be available exclusively on Apple Music on Friday. It will reportedly be exclusive to Apple Music for two weeks before being released elsewhere.
According to theTimes, the album will also be accompanied by "a major video," which is definitely a thing now.
Early Monday morning, a mysterious video appeared on Ocean's website that seemed to be a livestream from a warehouse somewhere. There were two desks, a bunch of equipment, and, later, a man doing woodwork. The video had the Apple Music watermark and was, of course, only available to view in Safari.
Boys Don't Cry is the latest of several major exclusives for Apple Music. Drake's Views From the 6was the latest high-profile album to debut exclusively on the platform when it dropped in April.
Representatives for Apple and Def Jam did not respond to Mashable's request for comment.
