【】Coincidence or not, the internet

Well, this is awkward. 。
When 。 The Circle — the 2017 James Ponsoldt film based on Dave Eggers’ dystopian novel — hit theaters, it was emblazoned with a bright red circle (we see what you did there) logo. The only thing is, well, that logo looks incredibly similar to Uber's circular logo. 。
Uber — you know, the real company — debuted its circle logo in 2016. According to 。 Wired,it was inspired by a blog post Travis Kalanick wrote, describing the company's culture as "the combination of bits and atoms. Bits represented the machine efficiency involved in Uber’s mapping and dispatch software. The atoms represented people." 。
Somehow, that vision translated into this rider icon featuring a thick, almost-closed circle. 。
