經過9年時間的尼奥能巴調查取證和審判後 ，在今年1月19日，西服刑意大利法庭宣判羅比尼奧強奸罪名成立 ，米兰並判處他9年監禁 。不過羅比尼奧目前已經回到祖國巴西生活 ，意大利法庭對他的這次判罰難以獲得有效執行 。為此 ，米蘭檢察官阿德裏安納-布拉斯科在本周發布了對羅比尼奧的引渡請求和國際逮捕令 。
《羅馬體育報》指出 ，巴西和意大利兩國之間沒有簽署引渡條約 ，而且巴西《憲法》禁止向他國引渡巴西公民，因此想要讓羅比尼奧到意大利服刑幾乎是不可能的。不過此前意大利司法部官員表示 ，意大利會把羅比尼奧強奸案的案卷翻譯成葡萄牙語後交給巴西 ，並希望巴西當局可以逮捕羅比尼奧，讓羅比尼奧在巴西國內服刑 。
