明晚 ，国足中國隊將迎來12強賽的训练首場“榮譽之戰” 。助理教練肇俊哲接受采訪時表示 ，重点组安希望用中沙之戰給低穀中的强调中國足球帶來正能量 。
中國隊在沙迦的反击訓練一直強調“硬度 、速度 、速度效率” ，教练其中 ，排苦教練組非常重視代表隊伍精神麵貌的练定“硬度” ，再不能表現得鬆鬆垮垮 。位球幾天來訓練重點是国足抓由守轉攻的反擊速度，這是训练主教練李霄鵬當球員時，中國隊打西亞球隊的重点组安一件“法寶” 。考慮到兩隊之間實力的强调差距 ，教練組安排隊伍苦練定位球，反击在運動戰打不開局麵的情況之下 ，對角球 、任意球機會的把握更加重要 。
肇俊哲對媒體表示：“我們力爭打出最好表現，要給大家帶來希望。”
據當地媒體消息 ，沙特足協主席亞希爾·阿爾·梅沙爾告誡本隊 ，沙特隊實力確實高於中國隊 ，但沒有任何輕鬆的比賽 ，中國隊可以自由發揮，放開比賽 ，給予對手很大壓力 。所以沙特球員必須高度集中精力對抗中國隊 。
