在本場比賽內馬爾雖然首發並踢滿全場 ，大肚但他的腩内表現沒有達到人們的預期 ，在比賽中多次丟失球權 ，球衣突破過人也不像往常那麽犀利 。下场而媒體賽後發布的中码內馬爾比賽照片顯示 ，內馬爾挺著一個大肚腩 ，大肚似乎有些身材走形 。腩内這讓內馬爾受到了很多批評 。球衣
隨後內馬爾在自己的下场Instagram上進行了回應 ：“這件球衣是大碼的。我的中码體重正常 ，下一場比賽我會選擇穿一件中碼球衣 。”北京時間9月6日淩晨3時，巴西將在世界杯預選賽中主場迎戰阿根廷 ，但願內馬爾在換了一件球衣之後 ，可以讓球迷們看到他的真實身材 。
