Somebody hold me because my obsession with credit card-sized gadgets is getting just a little out of control.
Days after discovering the Kado Wallet phone charger, I've now found a phone -- a rather good-looking dumbphone if you ask me -- at Mobile World Congress 2017 that's equally as small and slim.
SEE ALSO:Samsung's new tablets are out to destroy the iPad Pro and Surface Pro 4The credit card-sized phone is called the Talkase T3 and it's the latest version of the mini GSM phone that was successfully funded on Kickstarter in 2014.
In the age of big, high resolution do-it-all smartphones, there's absolutely no reason I should be excited about a dumbphone with a teeny, tiny 0.96-inch (diagonal) OLED display, but since dumbphones are apparently back in style, and Samsung's Galaxy S8 won't be announced for another month, I can't help but be in love.
It looks like a calculator, but doesn't even have a calculator feature. LOL.Credit: manuel blondeau/mashableThere's something about the Talkase T3's calculator-like button layout, primitive screen, and its almost Braun-like minimalist design that's really calming.
Its lack of features is what makes it it so appealing; there's no pressure to turn on your phone and be smacked with Trump's latest tweetstorm or whatever stupid meme is going viral.
There's no camera, no apps and no games to distract you. The phone's only got the basics: calling, messaging, a music player and an alarm. Best of all this phone has 72 hours of battery life on a single charge.
The only thing that'll remind you of the internet is the built-in hotspot feature, which converts its 3G connection into a Wi-Fi hub for your other wireless devices. The slower internet speeds will be enough to make you not even want to convert it into a hotspot.
The Talkase T3 is the phone everyone needs when they need to escape from the internet. And at $33, it's damn cheap.
