此前 ，追逐终对拉菲尼亞一直是魔翼巴薩的目標 ，同時這名巴西人也是利物英超以及歐陸諸多豪門的目標球員，但是浦最巴薩看上去似乎更為接近目標。
但利茲聯本賽季最終保級成功 ，巴萨巴西這使得球員無法以相對低廉的高管價格轉會 。有消息稱 ，飞赴利茲聯如果降級 ，英伦拉菲尼亞將以2500萬歐的追逐终对價格轉投巴薩 ，但保級成功後球員身價立刻回歸到了4000萬歐 。魔翼更有甚者 ，利物有媒體報道稱 ，利茲聯為拉菲尼亞叫價7000萬歐，靜待巴薩還價 。
西媒隨即表示 ，拉菲尼亞轉投巴薩可能無法最終實現，這一方麵源於球員價格超出市場價 ，另一方麵 ，登貝萊的續約與否還需等待最終決定 。如今 ，登貝萊加盟切爾西的日子似乎越來越近 ，巴薩也重新啟動了關於引進拉菲尼亞的談判 。
西媒聲稱 ，在拉菲尼亞的問題上 ，有可能失去馬內的利物浦將是巴薩的主要競爭對手 。
