北京時間1月23日，曼联名额曼聯在1-0戰勝西漢姆聯後，入前若夺暫時性的朗尼重新回歸了英超積分榜上前四的位置，根據《鏡報》報道，克超开心這使得他們的欧冠臨時主帥朗尼克拿到獎金的希望大增。

英國媒體曝光了朗尼克的奖金相關工作合同，據稱他的曼联名额固定周薪是18萬鎊，但是入前若夺也存在附加條款，如果曼聯在本賽季結束時順利的朗尼拿到了下賽季的歐冠參賽資格的話，朗尼克將一次性的克超开心得到一筆50萬鎊的獎金。

賽後，欧冠朗尼克的奖金發言似乎也印證了他對一切感到滿意：“我們的隊伍在比賽中所獲得的支持令人讚歎，我必須得對所有的曼联名额球迷們說聲感謝。”
